The Decryption Window is the heart of the Multiple-Document-Interface (MDI) and displays decrypted objects in a tabular format.
The Object Properties Window
will update its display with information about the encrypted object related to the selected tab.
Main menu items under the Decryption Window Tasks
group are enabled or disabled according to the type and status of the selected tab.
When a server is disconnected or removed from the SQL Servers Window
, any open tabs with encrypted objects related to that server will still be available but some menu options such as Refresh
and Replace on Server
will be disabled.
Tabs can be re-arranged by dragging them right or left to the desired position.
Newly decrypted objects will be added to the front, or left-handed side of the Decryption Window pushing the existing tabs to the right.
If more tabs are available then can be displayed, navigation arrows will be displayed at the far right of the window.
At the bottom-right of the Decryptor program is a page count which shows you how many 8 1/2" x 11" pages the decrypted code contains.
There is also a zoom-bar which you can use to zoom the contents of the Decryption Window. Each tab maintains it's own zoom level.
Each tab's content window has the same context menu which mostly mimics the buttons on the Main Menu under the Decryption Window Tasks
group. There are six options:
Invokes the Export to Files Dialog allowing the active tab's contents to be saved to the file system.
Replaces the decrypted object associated with the active tab on the server (registered version only). Please see the Replace on Server Warning Dialog. If the object's server has been disconnected or the object has already been replaced on the server, this option will be disabled.
Refreshes the encrypted object associated with the active tab. The system will place the object in the Decryption Queue for processing and update the tab's contents when the decryption process finishes. If the object's server has been disconnected or the object has been replaced on the server, this option will be disabled.
Toggles the TSQL Reformatting option on or off and updates the active tab's contents.
Toggles the Word Wrap feature on or off and updates the active tab's contents.
Copies the contents of the active tab to the Windows Clipboard.
Each tab has the same context menu with five available options:
Removes the selected tab from the Decryption Window.
Removes all tabs from the Decryption Window.
Removes all tabs from the Decryption Window except the selected tab.
Removes only the tabs that are associated with disconnected or removed servers. If there are no disconnected tabs available this option will be disabled.
Pins the tab to the front (left side) of the Decryption Window. All new tabs will be displayed to the right of pinned tabs.
